Rotarians are business and professional leaders who take an active role in their communities while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives. A Rotary club contains a diverse group of professional and retired leaders and concerned citizens from the community.

Membership in a Rotary club offers a number of benefits, including:

  • effecting positive change in your community and the world
  • advancing business and professional contacts
  • garnering support for causes you are passionate about
  • developing leadership skills (training and workshops)
  • fun and fellowshiping with like-minded individuals
  • gaining understanding and having an impact on humanitarian issues

Through Rotary International’s service programs, a Rotary club can have a significant impact on the lives of less fortunate people around the globe. Rotary Foundation programs offer clubs the opportunity to form international partnerships, making big change possible. 1.2 million Rotarians in 35,000 clubs in more than 200 countries are improving their communities and those around the world every day. A message from our President

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Woodside/Portola Valley. I am honored to have been chosen to serve as President of this “Small but Mighty” club for the year 2023-24. This club lives up to the Rotary moto of “Service above Self”, with members who give of their time, talent, and resources to make the world a better place. In our own communities and internationally, our club focuses on making education available to as many people as possible and to nurturing our natural environment.I have been in the field of horticulture and urban forestry for much of my career. I am dedicated to improving the environment, the air we breathe and the habitats we create and conserve. I am also dedicated to educating young and old to provide greater opportunities in life and to enrich our world. If you are looking to be of service to your community and the world, please join us to explore how you can partner with us and the good people of this club.Sincerely,

Haydi Danielson
