George's reward at the Woodside Fire Station was to spend time in the driver's seat. George's Christmas Dec 9, 2006 George had expressed "sadness" about the plight of homeless children this Christmas. When offered the chance to shop for homeless kids he got very excited and with donated cash he was able to spend over $300 buying gifts.  View 
Participating wineries included KIngs Mountain, Thomas Fogarty, Ridge Vineyards, Woodside Vineyards, Cinnabar Winery, Bonnie Doon Vineyard, Storrs Winery and Martella Wines. George, who is passionate about classical music and the piano, was recently found entertaining people in the lobby of a Marriott hotel.  He made $23 in tips. The Eastside Kids Jul 5, 2006 Since 2003 the club has offered support to three low income, at-risk Hispanic children from East Menlo Park. School scholarships, summer camp, dental care, piano lessons for George and homework assistance for all three are just some of the help these kids are receiving from Rotary.  View 
The slide started at the top of the volcano and brought with it full-sized trees and huge boulders.  In some places it was estimated to be 15 feet deep. Guatemalan Hurricane Relief Dec 1, 2005 Hundreds of Mayans have disappeared in mudslides that wiped out their villages. While immediate needs have been met famine is a very real concern as many of the survivors were subsistence farmers. Major efforts are being made to get the children back into school.  View

Justin, a fourth grader at Garfield Charter School in Redwood City, was delighted with his dictionary, a gift from the club. Club Service Projects All funds raised by the club are used to fund service projects both locally and abroad.  View
