This Week's Program:  City Trees Project Update

Our favorite TOW auctioneer, Jack Stephens, of the Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club, will give an update on the City Trees project.

Last  Week's Program:  Last Week Editor, Dean Babcock failed to submit his report in a timely fashion but I can tell you that Jim Sanderson and team talked about their marketing and advertising business and also gave us some ideas about marketing our Rotary Club to morning people.  Most of the club also met at Encore Performance Catering for the presentation of a $3,000 check to Marilyn Riesen for the Donn Riesen Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Next Week's Program  DARK - Happy Thanksgiving!

Special Announcement:  Where the Water Meets the Sky On World AIDS Day, December 1st, the club will sponsor a screening of the award winning documentary film Where the Water Meets the Sky. Produced by CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education) the film is the inspiring story of a group of 23 women in a remote region of Northern Zambia who achieve the unimaginable: they learn how to make a film as a way to speak out about their lives, raising an issue that few will discuss: the plight of young women orphaned by AIDS.  In a community where women are rarely given the opportunity to speak up, the inspiring voices at the core of this moving documentary ring loud and clear.  For more information on this one hour film and to view the trailer please visit the website:  www.watermeetssky.com  Please invite everyone you know.  Free though donations to CAMFED are encouraged.
