Woodside Village Church is holding their fall rummage sale.

  Is Plastic Surgery for You?

President, Dave Hyman, will introduce Dr. Rosenfield, a plastic surgeon.

 Last  Week's Program:

Meeting of Sept. 23, 2009

The meeting was dedicated to a review of The Taste of Woodside (TOW).  President David Hyman thanked everyone that was there for their help and said it was the best one ever.

The Rotaracters did a lovely job of setting up the tables and helping out in many ways. The venue was lovely but too sunny at 3 pm.  We should consider starting TOW later.  The new configuration for wine and appetizers and the silent auction tables were a big improvement, especially the names of the wineries and restaurants on the tables.  The winery people were much impressed by how well organized the whole affair was.  The servers were contract people and worked very well together and with David,  he even got to mingle with the guests! David's daughter did a fantastic job helping Todd with the money and was invited to join the Rotaract group.

Bill Alfano reported that we grossed nearly $33,000, had expenses of about $9,300, sponsorships over $10,000 and a net of about $23,000. There is still some home work to be done, but if the Taste of Woodside keeps getting better we will have a real winner!

 Next Week's Program:

A representative from Filoli will discuss improvements and various events held at this estate.

Dean Babcock will speak on "California Water - Supply and Demand" at the Oct. 14th meeting.
