Regular Meeting                                                                                         June 3rd, 2009

7:30 AM - 8:30 AM Wednesday with breakfast by Encore Performance Catering, fellowship, project updates and an interesting speaker from the community.  The last Wednesday of each month we meet at 6:00pm at a local restaurant for and hors d'oeuvres and no host bar and meeting new people.  Please check our website calendar for details. 

Morning meetings:  Guild Hall, Woodside Village Church, 3154 Woodside Road, Woodside, California  Guests are not only welcome but encouraged!

This Week's Program:   Traveling the Country by Motorcycle 

Ken Broome will introduce his neighbor and our newest member, Jim Sanderson, who will recap his motorcycle side car trip around the country. 

Last  Week's Program:   So, last week editor pooped out and didn't show up so what he missed was incredible redwoods, great wine, great hors d'oeuvres and dinner too.  Thank you to the Mountain House for showing many of us a great time.  Do yourself a favor and dine among the redwoods one summer evening.

Next Week's Program:   New Bridges in Nepal  Ken Broome will introduce his pal, David Sowerwine, who is a Rotarian in Nepal.  David will give us an update on the bridges that he facilitates based on an old scheme to transport pineapples.  His bridges give the Nepalese access to education and employment.

Club News:  (from your president-elect, Dave Hyman)  Folks:Besides our regular meeting,there is Rotary Means Business at my kitchen beginning at 5pm this Wed. June 3rd.
16 or more mid peninsula Rotaractors are coming to this gathering for the first time.I want to extend an invitation for our club members to come at no cost.A great chance for our club in meeting young business and socially conscious folks.
All I ask is an RSVP.  Also,Please let me know by e-mail if you want me to continue booking a restaurant for an every other end of the month club social.  Thanks.
