There has been a career change to finances and the Royal Bank of Canada. Frank hopes to be a contributing member of our club. Welcome Frank!
President-elect-elect Barbara Schmidt introduced Rae Schmidt (They claim to not be related? But they both agree she is a Ray of Sunshine!) Rae came to Woodside in 1962 but waited 47 years before joining the Rotary club. She has 3 children and has had a career in public education. She plays tennis and once rode her bicycle to Mexico. Rae says she is happy to be here and we are happy she is too!

Club News: Rebuilding Together According to President-Elect, Dave Hyman, the Rebuilding Together day on Oak St. in Redwood City should have made everyone proud to have participated.
Ken Hayes gave a gracious and informative welcome to over 50 volunteers in the morning. The home had preliminary work such as new concrete, electrical and plumbing done by professional contractors the prior 2 weeks. Several of the largest dumpsters ever seen were required to remove all the excess construction and home accumulation that day. Volunteers included several of our Rotary members,Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club member and San Mateo Credit Union employees.
Volunteers were separated into groups for gardening, painting, fixture hanging and electrical.
After the introductions and a continental breakfast, all the groups started work around 8:30am.
By 11:30am,it was amazing to see how much improvement was made in 3 hours. Check back to the website for photos of the event.
