This Week's Program:  Puente de la Costa Sur

President-Elect, Dave Hyman will introduce Kerry Lobel, Executive Director of Puente de la Costa Sur.  Puente de la Costa Sur (Puente Resource Center) has provided vital services for men, women, children, and families living in the South Coast communities of Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar, and San Gregorio for nearly a decade. Services include access to safety net services such as food, clothing, rent and utility assistance, health and wellness services, parenting education and support programs, literacy programs for English and Spanish learners, counseling and peer support for adults and children, and opportunities for leadership development and community engagement and action.

Last  Week's Program:   (courtesy of Last Week Editor, Dean Babcock)  President elect David Hyman greeted 30 participants at the first evening social meeting of our club at the Woodside Bakery and Cafe.  David introduced Noel Olsen the General Manager who welcomed one and all.  Attendees enjoyed wine and snacks and copious conversation.  Fifteen hungry members and guests stayed for dinner and more conversation.   A great beginning!

Next Week's Program:  Multi-Generational Living

Sharon Graham Niederhaus has co-authored a book with her brother John L. Graham titled Together Again: A Creative Guide to Successful Multigenerational Living.  Directed at baby boomers and their adult children, it is about the changing culture of America and the trend for three generations to live together again.

Club NewsThe library opening in Xolsacmalja, Totonicapan (try and find it on Google Earth), Guatemala was a great success this past Thursday.  After five years of planning and waiting this 100% indigenous community finally has access to information for all ages.  Have a look at the Photo Album on the website www.wprrotary.org for photos.  All of the books and educational materials in the library were paid for by our club.
