Last Week's Program: (courtesy of Last Week Editor, Dean Babcock)
Our speaker was Kevin Bryant, the Assistant Town Manager of Woodside. Kevin was born in Damariscotta, Maine and received his B. A. degree in Political Science from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. He then migrated to the University of North Carolina for his Masters in Regional Planning. Kevin came out west and worked in several Bay Area municipalities, including Tiburon, Sausalito and Alameda. He has specialized in working on General Plans. He is currently working on the budget update for Woodside. Fortunately, he is not looking for an economic downturn and no tax increases!
The current Woodside General Plan is from 1988 and is in revision. He says that what the Planning Commission and the Council have in mind is “What we want to be is – What we are!” Several members of our club asked relevant and interesting questions, Kevin answered them all astutely. He can be reached at 650-851-6790 or at townhall@woodsidetown.org.
Next Week's Program: President-Elect, Dave Hyman, will talk about his experience at the Rotary Presidents Training (PETS) weekend and about his goals for the club for his year as president.
