Celebration to honor out-going President Becky Rudd and Past President David Sowerwine for their outstanding service. Reminiscing, ribbing, and overall good time. Culminating in the pinning of new President Michelle Nirenstein and President-elect Barb Mackraz.

Our own Sandie Pugh will talk about her journey into the real estate business--how she's seen things change over the years and why she still loves doing it after all these years. Michelle will be away on an H2Opn Doors project in Nicaragua. Allen Carey will sit in as President.

July 26     Meeting/ Donn Posner, Ph.D.

Our speaker will be Dr. Donn Posner, psychologist, Palo Alto VA hospital, is working on a study of non-pharmacological treatments for insomnia in individuals 60 years of age and older. Dr. Posner will give a talk on the latest research on sleep and aging and, more specifically, insomnia. His talk will provide general information about sleep and sleep issues, and also give hope to those suffering from insomnia.?

August 9     Meeting/ Carmel Jud

Carmel Jud is Rising International's Founder & Executive Director. In 2002, Carmel gave up the successful business she'd founded and built for 20 years and launched Rising International, the first non-profit to use the home party business model to contribute to solving poverty. Rising International sells crafts made by the world's poorest people - women. In addition, Rising trains under-employed women in the U.S. to run their own Rising Home Party businesses.?

RoseAnn will give a report on The Village Link project in Sierra Leone. The area suffered damage during recent storms that caused a short set-back but they are back up and running. The program is evolving and our challenge now is getting it to sustainability.

Joan and her team are here from Guatemala and will give us an update on all their projects there.

Tommy Beal will share with us some recruting skills that he learned from his experiences starting a popular club at Canada College and mobilizing 200 people to join a rally and speaking event. His passion is creating successful business and networking opportunities with little capital outlay.

Greg Hartwell will talk about the services his company, Homecare California, offers and how it came to be. Founded in 2008, Homecare California is a family-owned home care agency.  It was founded by Lisa and Greg Hartwell. Unlike a majority of local agencies, Homecare California is not a franchise. All of their resources go into hiring the best caregivers for their clients living in Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, and Contra Costa counties.
